2. Location

• Direct sun: 8+ hours minimum, 12+ ideal.
• Wind exposure: protected from the worst gusts but with enough airflow to prevent mold.
• Water access: a 25-gal pot in summer can need 5+ gallons a day.
• Privacy: visual screening matters — both for security and for neighborly relations.

3. Security

Theft is real. Pollination from neighboring males is also real. Both are solved by visual screening (privacy fence, hedge, low-profile plant choice) and by harvesting on schedule rather than letting plants linger past peak.
