Indoor. Full environmental control — temperature, humidity, light schedule, CO₂, airflow. You decide when the plant flowers. Year-round harvests, easier pest containment, but higher electricity costs and capital expense.

Outdoor. Free sunlight — the single best light source on earth. Plants tend to get bigger, terpene expression is often more complex, and operating costs are minimal. But you're subject to climate, season length, pest pressure, weather damage, and visibility constraints.

Greenhouse. A hybrid — natural sun with shelter from rain and pests, plus blackout curtains for light deprivation flowering. Best of both worlds if you have the space and capital.

Choose indoor if you want quality consistency and year-round runs. Choose outdoor if you want maximum yield per dollar and have the climate. Choose greenhouse if budget allows — it's frequently the highest quality-per-effort path.
