Reported / Disputed

Reported: community-attributed but not breeder-confirmed
Disputed: two or more credible sources disagree
We show all credible readings, not just one

This split matters because cannabis has decades of myth, marketing, and misattribution layered on top of the actual genetics. Pretending we know more than we do hurts everyone.

Can a reported lineage become verified?+

Yes. When a breeder claims a strain page on CannaForge and confirms (or corrects) the parents, the status flips to verified.

Why bother with reported entries at all?+

Most of the strain universe has decades of community attribution and no living breeder to confirm it. Hiding those records would erase real history.
