Feminized seeds are cannabis seeds bred to produce only female plants, eliminating the need for growers to identify and remove male specimens. This trait emerged in the 1990s through selective breeding and deliberate pollen reversal techniques, allowing breeders to reliably pass female-only genetics to offspring. Feminized seeds represent a significant shift in breeding methodology, as they reduce cultivation waste and simplify cultivation workflows.
