The post-harvest checklist

1. Dry strip the room — old soil out, leaves bagged
2. Wash every surface — bleach or hydrogen peroxide solution
3. Replace HEPA / carbon filters
4. Disinfect pruning shears, scissors, ties — they spread disease
5. Inspect lights and timers — pre-failures kill the next cycle
6. Log the harvest weight, smoke notes, and any defects
7. Sample-jar 1–2 buds with the strain name + harvest date for long-term reference

Harvest-day prep — tools and sequence

• Drop temp by 5°C 48h before chop to maximize trichome color shift.
• Last light flush if your soil/coco recipe calls for it.
• Clean and clear the trim space — you'll spend more hours here than in the tent.
• Sharp, sterile trimming shears + loppers for thick stems.
• Hygrometer for the drying space.
• Bins for trim, fan leaves, and waste.
